Lisa Gervase -Attorney
Ms. Gervase's experience includes over 15 years of representing individuals and businesses in business (transactional and corporate), administrative law (representing professional and business applicants and licensees before state agencies and in appeals to the Superior Court), and personal (estate planning) matters; and serving as legal counsel for the OSHA Review Board.
Ms. Gervase was on the Board of the Association of Structural Pest Control Regulatory Officials and is active with the National Pest Management Association. She currently is a Member of the Arizona Pest Professional Association (AzPPO) and is a Member of AzPPO's Legislative Committee.
Ms. Gervase is a member of The American Association of Nurse Attorneys and regularly advocates for due process for nurses faced with regulatory complaints.
Her experience also includes 5 years as the Executive Director of the Arizona State Agency that licenses and regulates about 10,000 applicators, qualifying parties and businesses who provide urban pest management services. Work included handling administrative, legislative, rule, policy, budget, and lobbying functions, and overseeing inspections, complaint-handling, case-handling, and customer service.
Ms. Gervase is a former Arizona Assistant Attorney General, representing several state agencies; Board member on the Arizona State Board of Psychologist Examiners (for five years) and on the Arizona State Veterinary Medical Examining Board (for five years); and rules consultant for several state agencies.
She also is a former Administrative Law Judge, handling medical, quasi-medical, and technical cases. Experience includes matters at the Accountancy Board, Board of Appraisal, Arizona Council for the Hearing Impaired, Board of Behavioral Health Examiners, Board of Fingerprinting, Board of Medical Examiners, Chiropractic Board, Corporation Commission, Cosmetology Board, Dental Board, Department of Education, Department of Health Services, Department of Public Safety, Funeral Board, Game and Fish Commission, Gaming Department, Insurance Department, Liquor Department, Lottery, Maricopa County Personnel Board, Naturopathic Physicians Board of Medical Examiners, Nursing Board, Board of Examiners of Nursing Care Institution Administrators and Assisted Living Facility Managers, Optometry Board, Osteopathic Board, Physical Therapy Board, Podiatry Board, Psychology Board, Racing Department, Real Estate Department, Registrar of Contractors, State Personnel Board, Structural Pest Control Commission, Veterinary Board, and Department of Weights and Measures.
Ms. Gervase is a Member of the Arizona and Washington, D.C. bar associations. She graduated with a B.S., Cum Laude, in Business Administration from Arizona State University, and a J.D. from California Western School of Law.
She is a member of the Arizona State Bar Administrative Law Section, and lectures and writes articles at the national and state levels involving administrative law issues, including being a speaker for the Governor's Office Board and Commission member training. Daniel Martorella - Of Counsel
Mr. Martorella has practiced law in California for 24 years, primarily as a civil litigator representing construction clients. He is Of Counsel to the Gervase Law Firm, PLLC, and is licensed in California. He obtained his undergraduate degree from St. Francis College in New York and his law degree from California Western School of Law. Mr. Martorella is a Member of the California bar association.
Carissa Kittleson - Executive Assistant
Ms. Kittleson completed Arizona Government University training and attends Scottsdale Community College. She has a customer service and accounting background, and has interests in health care, American sign language and animal rights.
